Welcome to Crewkerne Health Centre
We hope this website will prove useful both to new patients and to patients who may have been registered with us for many years. We aim to provide a comprehensive and professional service and we hope the following information will enable you to make full use of the Health Centre.
The building has disabled access and facilities, including a hearing loop.
The doctors, practice nurses, counsellors and administrative staff work in conjunction with the district nurses, midwives, health visitors, school nurses and auxiliary nurses to form a Primary Health Care team. We believe that by working together within that ‘Team’ we can provide a comprehensive service to our patients in the community. We are committed to the values of traditional General Practice and we want to provide the best possible service.
The doctors operate a 'personal list' system and therefore ALL our patients (including children) have a named accountable GP to take responsibility for their care.
The partners are delighted that Dr Catherine Fenlon has joined the practice and will be working three days each week. Dr Fenlon will hold a patient list and is currently accepting any new patients who wish to register with her (or those who wish to transfer from another doctor in the practice).
The practice also operates a Minor Injuries service which is available from 8am until 6.30pm from Monday to Friday. Any injury should have occurred in the last 48 hours and no appointment is necessary to access this service.
Due to a major computer upgrade, service at the Health Centre will be disrupted on Thursday and Friday 22nd and 23rd September. On Thursday 22nd September the doctors will only be able to deal with patients who need to be seen urgently that day. Only urgent home visits can also be undertaken. Unfortunately on the 22nd we will also not be able to offer a choice of doctor.
Please note photographic ID and Proof of Address will need to be shown to register for these services for the first time
